In this follow up session to our popular Pattern Making: Recreate a Wardrobe Favourite workshop, you will sew a finished garment from the pattern that you created in the first workshop (or a similar pattern copying workshop)

Prerequisites: Completion of our Pattern Making: Recreate a Wardrobe Favourite workshop (or a similar pattern copying workshop). Ability to confidently use a sewing machine to make simple clothing or accessory items.

About your Teacher: This class is taught by costumier and regular Gaye Abandon teacher Zoe Felice. Zoe has extensive pattern making and professional sewing experience. She has created costumes for film, television, theatre and cabaret productions and teaches students of all levels.

We will provide: Sewing machines and all other sewing equipment (or bring your own if you prefer)!

Bring along: — The pattern you drafted in our previous workshop (or similar workshop).
— Fabric (If you are unsure of how much or what kind to purchase take your original garment in to the fabric store. If you want to replicate the look and feel of your existing garment choose material of a similar kind).
— Any other notions required to make your garment (Eg. zip, buttons, thread, interfacing)
— You sewing kit and sewing machine (or feel free to use our machines and equipment)

When: Saturday 6th April 10am – 4.30pm

Spend a fun and relaxed day of uninterrupted sewing with with guidance and support from an expert! Work on a new or in-progress garment cut from a commercial sewing pattern or one you have drafted from an existing garment. Get help with tricky bits, understanding sewing pattern instructions, fitting and finishing! All sewing equipment provided or BYO.

Skill level: You are a ‘beyond basics’ sewist and can confidently use a sewing machine to make simple garments.

About your Teacher: This class is taught by costumier and regular SOSU teacher Zoe Felice. Zoe has extensive pattern making and professional sewing experience and is much loved and admired by our students! She has created costumes for film, television, theatre and cabaret productions and teaches students of all levels.
