Learn to mend, alter and upcycle garments you already own. Maximise your wardrobe!
Learn hand and machine sewing techniques with which you can make simple repairs and alterations to your garments such as:
– taking/up, letting down and fixing hems on pants and skirts.
– taking side seams, waistbands or darts in or out.
– closing or patching rips and holes
– sewing on buttons and other fasteners so they stay on
– refashioning the clothes you own to give them a new lease of life!
or, if you already have some sewing experience, tackle some trickier fixes such as fixing zips or more advanced wardrobe refashioning with the expert advice and support of your teacher.
