If you have loved visible mending, free motion darning and fix your op shop finds – then this course is for you!

Over four weeks you will learn how to mend and adjust your clothes with alterations expert Peta.

• Essential mending and alteration techniques
• Basic techniques for hems and mending seams.
• Zippers and Buttonholes: Move existing buttonholes or fix up that broken zipper!
• Shorten or lengthen sleeves or hems
• Patch holes with freemotion machine darning or hand embroidery

This course will take place over four weeks (10 hours tuition total).

Skill level: This course is open to beginners upwards – but we highly recommend having basic sewing skills (i.e. be able to thread up a machine) before you get started. Feel free to enrol in our Sewing Machine Basics or Essential Sewing Techniques to brush up on your skills beforehand, in order to maximise your time in this class. Open to adults and young adults. Men and non binary folk are encouraged to attend!
