In this 5 hour workshop you will learn the hugely popular skill of making the perfect bench seat cushion complete with zipper.

The op shops have plenty of foam cushion inserts if you’re keen, and we encourage you to upcycle your materials wherever possible! Get creative. Make something old new again!

What to bring: 
Fabric for your cushion. Medium to heavier weight twill weave, duck cloth or lightweight canvas, 100% cotton fabric is ideal
An invisible zipper 5 cm shorter than the side dimension of your cushion (we have zips in limited colours available)
Foam cut to size, we recommend a thickness of between 5cm and 10cm – can be cut to order at Clark Rubber, or else please feel free to cover an existing cushion to freshen it up and use existing materials!

Skill level: You have basic sewing machine skills and can sew a straight seam.

NB: If covid related circumstances prevent you from attending on the date you book, you may transfer to the next date this workshop is held. You must be fully vaccinated to attend this workshop.
