Zipper Workshop Saturday 1.30 – 4.30pm

Zipper Workshop. Saturday  2pm – 5pm

Overcome your fear of zips and learn two ways to insert a standard zipper (centered and lapped) and the secrets to installing an invisible zip without dramas. Achieve a professional finish when putting zips in to dresses, skirts and cushions!

This class is suitable for ‘beyond basics’ sewists who know how to use a sewing machine. Bring your own machine or use one of ours. Men are encouraged to attend! Our small class numbers (max 6) allow your teacher Gaye to give each student lots of personalised attention. The class requires a minimum of 4 students to proceed.

We will provide:  All equipment, zips and fabrics for practicing.

Bring along: A cut-out skirt, or cushion cover which is ready to insert a zip into. A zip suited to your project (a standard or invisible closed zipper with plastic teeth). Your own sewing kit if you have one.
