NEW! Walking Foot Quilting Course with Tara Glastonbury – Sunday mornings from 21st July
WALKING FOOT QUILTING
Four-week course
After sell-out classes at SOSU this past Autumn, Tara is back!
Are you one of those quilters who only makes tops? Is it because you don’t own a long-arm? Or does learning free-motion quilting seem overwhelming? Maybe walking foot quilting is for you!
In this class you’ll learn techniques for walking foot quilting as well as some hand quilting, to give your quilts a fresh, modern approach. From linear patterns like grids and matchstick quilting through gentle curves, to stitch and thread effects, you’ll be creating your own quilted masterpiece in no time.
Aurifil threads are included in the cost of this course.
NOTE: Tara suggests you attend a preliminary two-hour workshop before this course that she is offering as an option for those who would like help basting their quilts ready for quilting. You can find that here.

This course is open to beginners upwards – you should have basic sewing skills and be able to sew a straight line by machine.
