Basting Party (with Tara Glastonbury)
BASTING PARTY
Want to learn all the ways to baste your quilt sandwich before quilting? This is everyone’s least favourite step in the quilt-making process, so come along and we’ll make a party of it! Many hands really do make light work.
In this two-hour workshop you’ll learn the best ways to pin, thread and spray baste. You’ll have your quilt prepared in no time.
Bring along a quilt top and back, a basic sewing kit (thread, needle, scissor and a seam ripper) and a can of spray baste. You can also bring wadding or purchase it from Tara on the day.
This workshop is an ideal lead-in to Tara’s walking foot course if you’re unsure how to make your quilt sandwiches for that.
Skill level: Open to all patchworkers preparing to quilt a quilt.
