Learn to Sew Short Course – 4 weeks (10 hrs tuition)
Learn the basics and make three fun and useful projects!
Friday evenings 6.30 – 9pm
Our Learn to Sew Short course runs over four x 2.5 hour lessons. Starting from scratch, you will gain the basic sewing skills to get you started making homewares, clothes and crafts. Each week you will build up your practice and learn new techniques. This short course is an abridged version of our term-long 20 hour Beginner’s Sewing Course
WEEK 1 – Sewing Machine Basics: Pillow case with buttons
WEEK 2 – 3 Intro to Dressmaking: Simple Top
WEEK 4 – Zippered Purse
We will provide: Sewing machines and all other equipment, beverages, handout notes, patterns for the projects to take home and lots of very practical advice and techniques!
Bring along: Your own sewing machine if you would like to learn on that and your sewing kit if you have one. Any remnant fabric you would like to use. (We will provide fabric for all the projects but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer). If you don’t yet have a machine don’t worry. we have machines and all the other equipment you will need.

When: Friday evenings 6.30 – 9pm (10 hours of tuition over four weeks).
Getting here: We are located in the Hyde Business Park close to Yarraville Gardens. 6 minutes walk (550 metres) from Seddon Station or 10 mins walk from Footscray Station straight up Hyde St. The 409 bus that runs between Highpoint and Yarraville stops right outside.
