Kid’s Sewing Courses Term One 2020
$315.00 – $360.00
Creative, term- long courses for girls and boys who want to learn to sew.
We run Kid’s sewing courses on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons during school term.
Over a term-long course, your child will build up their basic sewing machine skills by making simple clothes, accessories and crafts with and without sewing patterns. They will make two to three projects over the term.
Our courses are suitable for children eight years and older. They may bring their own sewing machine or use one of ours.
Skill level: Students must know how to use a sewing machine. We are offering a Sewing Machine Basics kid’s school holiday workshop on January 22nd. This is a prerequisite for new beginner students enrolling in a kid’s sewing course. A private lesson can also be arranged before classes begin. . Please CONTACT US if you are unsure which class to enrol your child in. Students can join a class after the term has begun if there is availability.
About your Teachers: Gaye, Aly and Ali all have extensive experience teaching children to sew, both privately and in small groups. We all hold Working with Children checks.
We will provide: Sewing machines (if needed) and all other sewing equipment. Project patterns and lots of encouragement! Fabric for most projects.
Bring along: Your child’s sewing machine if they would prefer to learn on that. The teacher will let you know what is needed in the first lesson.
