A creative term- long course for girls and boys who want to learn to sew.
We run Kid’s sewing courses on Monday , Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons during school term.
Over ten x 1 1/2 hour lessons, your child will build up their basic sewing machine skills by making simple clothes, accessories and crafts with and without sewing patterns. They will make two to three projects over the term including a piece of clothing, a bag and a pencil case.
This course is suitable for children eight years and older. They may bring their own sewing machine or use one of ours. Our small class numbers (5 students) means each student receives lots of personalised attention.
About your Teachers: Gaye, Aly and Zoe all have extensive experience teaching sewing to children, both privately and in small groups.
We will provide: Sewing machines (if needed) and all other sewing equipment. Project patterns and lots of encouragement! Fabric for practice and initial projects.
Bring along: Your own sewing machine if you would prefer to learn on that. Fabric for the skirt and shorts projects. The teacher will let you know what is needed in the first lesson.
