Kids Can Sew Too! School holiday sewing workshops kids aged between 8 and 18. In age-appropriate classes, kids and teens will build their skills in classes of up to 10 kids – with enough teachers on hand to meet demand for the whole day.

They will take home something ‘me made’ each day. We provide upcycled fabrics and notions for each project.

Monday 7th April  9.30am-3.30pm – BEGINNERS – Upcycled Fidget Toys

Perfect for kids with little-to-no sewing experience, they will learn all the sewing machine basics in the morning  and then will complete their very own Fidget to take home in the afternoon!  This workshop is ideal for kid’s who want to try out sewing or have a recently purchased sewing machine they would like to learn to use. It is a prerequisite for joining one of our term two Kid’s Sewing Courses (commencing Term 2 – 28th April!).

Tuesday 8th April 9.30am-3.30pm – BEYOND BASICS – Bunny Basket

Suitable for  kids with a little more experience on the sewing machine (inc. those who have attended Beginners workshops on the 7th ). They will  sew their very own Bunny Basket to take home. NB: Please make sure that your child is capable of threading a sewing machine or has completed our Monday workshop before booking this class on its own.

Wednesday 9th April 9.30am-3.30pm- BEGINNERS – Baby Chicken Draw String bag

Perfect for kids with little-to-no sewing experience, they will learn all the sewing machine basics in the morning  and then will complete their very own Chick Draw String Bag to take home in the afternoon!  This workshop is ideal for kid’s who want to try out sewing or have a recently purchased a sewing machine they would like to learn to use. It is a prerequisite for joining one of our term two Kid’s Sewing Courses (commencing Term 2 – 28th April!).

Thursday 10th April 9.30am-3.30pm – BEYOND BASICS – Bunny Back Pack

Friday 11th April ( 3 hour sessions) – BEADING

9.00-12 noon (am)

1pm -4pm (pm)

Create your own Jewellery: Elasticated bracelet and necklace with clasp.

Suitable for kids with manual dexterity for threading beads to create their own piece of jewelry to take home and wear. Recycled beads will be used.

Please enter the name, age and skill level of your child in the notes field when booking these workshops.

Bring along: A sewing machine if your child has one they would like to learn on (no toy or ‘mini’ machines please). A basic sewing kit if you have one (we sell Sewing Starter Packs containing quality essentials if needed). Snacks, lunch and water bottle.
