Tuesday 22nd January: Sewing Machine Basics

We will start from the very beginning, learning the parts of the machine, how to thread and unthread it, and how to sew lines and curves. After the class has mastered the basics they will make a simple fun project to take home. If  your child has a sewing machine they would like to use they can work on that (no toy or ‘mini’ machines please), if not they can use one of ours. All other material and equipment is provided.

Thursday 24th January workshop: Make a Dinosaur or Unicorn Hat
The class will work on a super-cool hat made from recycled fabrics. This project will involve hand and machine stitching as well as a bit of glueing.

The workshops can be taken together or separately however basic machine sewing skills are desirable for the second workshop. Each workshop will have a maximum of 5 students. Four enrolments are required for the workshop to proceed.
