Learn to Sew Kids Holiday Workshops – already booking! Jan 9th/ 10th /11th and/or Jan 23rd/24th/25th 2024. 9.30-3.30pm

Kids Can Sew Too! School holiday sewing workshops kids aged between 8 and 18. In age-appropriate classes, kids and teens will build their skills in classes of up to 10 kids – with two teachers on hand for the whole day.

They will take home something ‘me made’ each day. We provide upcycled fabrics and notions for each project.

Tuesday 9th January – BEGINNERS

Perfect for kids with little-to-no sewing experience, they will learn all the sewing machine basics in the morning and then will complete their very own insulated lunch bag to take home in the afternoon!

Wednesday 10th January – BEYOND BASICS

Ideal for kids who have some confidence in their sewing, or those who have already completed the Beginners class on Tuesday 9th January (above). They will sew their very own cross-body sling bag to take home!

NB: Please make sure that your child is capable on a sewing machine before booking just this class on its own.

Thursday 11th January – INTERMEDIATE

For kids with existing sewing skills – come along and make your very own t-shirt, with upcycled pocket of their own design! Great for the kids who already come to our term classes, or those who have attended the previous days in the holiday workshops.

NB: Please make sure that your child is capable on a sewing machine before booking just this class on its own.

Perfect for kids with little-to-no sewing experience, they will learn all the sewing machine basics in the morning  and then will complete their very own emoji cushion to take home in the afternoon!

Wednesday 24th January – BEYOND BASICS

Ideal for kids who have some confidence in their sewing, or those who have already completed the Beginners class on Tuesday 23rd January (above). They will cut out, decorate and sew their very own zippered pencil case to take home!

Please make sure that your child is capable on a sewing machine before booking just this class on its own.

Thursday 25th January – INTERMEDIATE

For kids with existing sewing skills – come along and make your very own trendy fisherman-style pants of their own! Great for the kids who already come to our term classes, or those who have attended the previous days in the holiday workshops.

NOTE: Feel free to book all three classes for those with no sewing experience, and build up their skills over the three days, or just book the second or third class for those with more experience.

SEWING MACHINE BASICS
The beginners workshop is ideal for kid’s who want to try out sewing or have a recently purchased sewing machine they would like to learn to use. It is also a prerequisite for joining our term four Kid’s Sewing Course as well as the intermediate classes in the above program.

Bring along: A sewing machine if your child has one they would like to learn on (no toy or ‘mini’ machines please). A basic sewing kit if you have one (we sell Sewing Starter Packs containing quality essentials if needed). Snacks, lunch and water bottle.
