Learn-to-Sew Kids Holiday Workshops – 3rd April (Beginners) AND 4th April (Beyond Basics) 9.30-3.30pm

Kids Can Sew Too! School holiday sewing workshops kids aged between 8 and 18. In age-appropriate classes, kids and teens will build their skills in classes of up to 10 kids – with two teachers on hand for the whole day.

They will take home something ‘me made’ each day. We provide upcycled fabrics and notions for each project.

Wednesday 3rd April 9.30am-3.30pm – BEGINNERS – Cloud Cushion

Perfect for kids with little-to-no sewing experience, they will learn all the sewing machine basics in the morning  and then will complete their very own cloud cushion to take home in the afternoon!  This workshop is ideal for kid’s who want to try out sewing or have a recently purchased sewing machine they would like to learn to use. It is a prerequisite for joining one of our our term one Kid’s Sewing Courses (commencing Term 2 – Limited spots left!).

Thursday 4th April 9.30am-3.30pm – BEYOND BASICS – Beret

Suitable for both absolute beginners and kids with a little more experience on the sewing machine (inc. those who have attended Beginners workshops on the 3rd). They will cut out, decorate and sew their very own beret to take home with lots of options for embellishments and quilting for kids with more experience). NB: Please make sure that your child is capable on a sewing machine before booking this class on its own.

 

Friday 5th April 9.30am-3.30pm – INTERMEDIATE – Kimono-style Dressing Gown

For kids with existing sewing skills – come along and make your very own wrap around trendy kimono robe! Great for the kids who already come to our term classes, or those who have attended the previous days in the holiday workshops. NB: Please make sure that your child is capable on a sewing machine before booking this class on its own.

 

NOTE: Feel free to book all three classes for those with no sewing experience, and build up their skills over the three days, or just book the second or third class for those with more experience.

Bring along: A sewing machine if your child has one they would like to learn on (no toy or ‘mini’ machines please). A basic sewing kit if you have one (we sell Sewing Starter Packs containing quality essentials if needed). Snacks, lunch and water bottle.
