In our Intermediate Sewing Course you will tackle more challenging projects and learn professional dressmaking and fitting techniques! Choose your own project.

Term One  is now FULL. Stay tuned for Term Two dates.  If you’re keen to get started, you may want to consider our taking one of our ‘choose your own project’ BEYOND BASICS  Course (Thursday evenings from March 14th) instead.

Course overview: Make a garment of your choice from sewing patterns with an Intermediate to Advanced skill level rating.  You could make a fitted dress, tailored pants/shirt, or a lined coat/jacket or anything you choose! Over eight 2 1/2 hour lessons you will continue to learn new skills and consolidate your sewing practice. Along with more advanced sewing techniques, you will learn how to adjust patterns and garments-in-progress to achieve a good fit. You will need to purchase pattern/s, fabric and sewing notions.

Skill level: This course is suitable for students who completed our Beyond Basics course (or possess an equivalent skill level). You have practiced essential garment construction techniques and can follow sewing patterns with some confidence.   Open to adults and young adults (minimum age 16yo). Men and non binary are encouraged to attend! Feel free to contact us if you are unsure if this level is best for you.

We will provide: Sewing machines and overlockers. All other sewing equipment.  (BYO machines and sewing kit if you prefer).

Booking Policies:  Due to our small class numbers, our courses are NON REFUNDABLE and NON TRANSFERABLE. Be sure to familiarise yourself with all our Refund and Cancellation Policies before booking to avoid disappointment.
Make-up classes for missed classes are offered at our discretion depending on availability however we will do our best to fit you in.

Payment Options: Secure Credit Card (via Stripe) or Direct Deposit. If selecting Direct Deposit, payment is required within 24 hours of booking to secure your place. Our bank details are in the confirmation email you will receive upon booking. 

For bookings made more than 6 weeks in advance, payment can be made in two instalments (Direct Deposit only) with the 50% balance due three weeks before the commencement of classes.
