Grown-up School Holiday Workshops!

Why should the kids have all the fun?! School holiday sewing workshops for GROWN-UPS! If you have a bit of leave in January and want to get creative, join us! One-off, all-day workshops for anyone from starter-outerer  to advanced. As long as you can thread and use the machine and sew in a straight line – you’re welcome!  We’ll make sure to have enough teachers on hand to meet demand for the whole day.

You will take home something ‘me made’ each day. We will provide some upcycled fabrics and notions for each project, but also encourage you to bring along your own bits and pieces if you have something you’d like to upcycle and style yourself!

Wednesday 7th January  10am-3pm – Wide-Brim Serpentine Hat

The perfect hat to make for summer – you can make it out old denim scraps, patched together scraps or even an old towel (make sure its on the thin side for your own sake!) Please make sure to buy Elbe’s lovely pattern here so as to support their craft, and then you are very welcome to use our print outs in class (no need to print it off yourself if you don’t want to).

Thursday 8th January  10am-3pm – Upcycled Tablecloth Box Top or Bombazine Shirt

Make an upcycled top out of those tablecloths your Nanna left you that you have no idea what to do with! The ultimate heirloom and/or wardrobe hero. Bring along your own linen, head to the poppy before the class or use some of ours! If you go with the Bombazine Shirt please make sure to buy the pattern here first.

Friday 9th January 10am-3pm – Birgitta Helmerson Zero Waste Shirt

We love this project so much – learn how to use every scrap of a 90cm piece of fabric! Please make sure to purchase Birgitta’s pattern here first, so as to support her incredible skill, and then you are welcome to use our templates at the sewing school (no need to print out prior to class if you don’t want to!)

Bring along: A sewing machine if you would like to use your own.  A basic sewing kit if you have one (we sell Sewing Starter Packs containing quality essentials if needed). Snacks, lunch and water bottle.

Booking Policies:  Due to our small class numbers our workshops are NON REFUNDABLE and NON TRANSFERABLE. Be sure to familiarise yourself with all our Refund and Cancellation Policies before booking to avoid disappointment.
